Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the JoJoPay web-based digital payment platform and related services. Please read them carefully before using the Platform.

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old or legally authorized to use digital financial services under applicable Philippine laws.
  • All information you provide is accurate, complete, and updated.
  • You agree to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and platform policies.

Scope of Services

JoJoPay provides a web-based digital payment platform designed for personal and small business (SME) use. Available services may include:

  • Sending and receiving money
  • Bills payment
  • Mobile load purchases
  • QR-based payments
  • “Split-Share” bill splitting features
  • Transportation-related services such as booking bus or flight tickets
  • Wallet funding or cash-in services through partner channels

JoJoPay reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature without prior notice.

Account Registration and Security

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their:

  • Login credentials
  • One-Time Passwords (OTPs)
  • Devices used to access the Platform
  • Account recovery information

You agree to use strong passwords, avoid sharing account access with others, and immediately report unauthorized access or suspicious activity.

JoJoPay shall not be liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access caused by user negligence, sharing of credentials, phishing, scams, or malware affecting the user’s device, or incorrect recipient details entered by the user.

Know Your Customer (KYC) Verification

Users may be asked to provide:

  • Government-issued identification
  • Personal information
  • Additional supporting documents

To comply with applicable regulations and security standards, JoJoPay may require identity verification.

Verified vs. Unverified Accounts

Verified accounts may receive:

  • Higher wallet and transaction limits
  • Access to additional platform features
  • Enhanced account security and recovery support

Unverified accounts may have limited access to certain features, including reduced transaction limits.

Cash-In Services and Fees

Cash-in transactions are intended to be processed in real-time. However, delays may occur due to:

  • Network interruptions
  • Maintenance activities
  • Partner system outages
  • Regulatory or compliance reviews

7-Eleven Cash-In: Cash-in transactions through 7-Eleven CLIQQ kiosks or related services are subject to a 2% partner processing fee.

ECPay Cash-In: Cash-in transactions through ECPay partner outlets, including but not limited to RD Pawnshop, LCC Malls, and Petron, are subject to a PHP 20 processing fee.

Permitted and Prohibited Use

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Money laundering
  • Fraudulent transactions
  • Terrorist financing
  • Unauthorized commercial use
  • Identity theft or impersonation
  • Use of stolen payment methods
  • Distribution of malicious software
  • Any activity violating Philippine laws or regulations

Users agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes.

Transactions and User Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that:

  • Recipient information is accurate
  • Payment details are correct before confirmation
  • Sufficient wallet balance is available

All confirmed transactions may be considered final and irreversible unless otherwise required by law or platform policy.

JoJoPay shall not be responsible for losses arising from mistyped account information, incorrect QR scans, user error, or delayed partner processing beyond JoJoPay’s reasonable control.

Service Availability

Temporary interruptions may occur due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • System upgrades
  • Internet connectivity issues
  • Third-party provider outages
  • Security incidents

JoJoPay aims to provide continuous service availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted access.

Privacy and Data Protection

By using the Platform, you consent to the collection, use, storage, and processing of your information for purposes including:

  • Identity verification
  • Fraud prevention
  • Transaction processing
  • Customer support
  • Regulatory compliance

JoJoPay collects and processes personal data in accordance with applicable Philippine data privacy laws, including the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

Third-Party Services

JoJoPay is not responsible for:

  • Third-party system failures
  • Delayed services
  • Incorrect information provided by partners
  • Third-party terms or policies

Certain services available through the Platform may be provided by third-party partners, including payment processors, ticketing providers, and cash-in partners.

Intellectual Property

Users may not:

  • Copy or reproduce platform materials
  • Reverse engineer the Platform
  • Use JoJoPay branding without permission
  • Distribute unauthorized versions of the Platform

All content, trademarks, logos, software, designs, and materials associated with JoJoPay remain the exclusive property of JoJoPay or its licensors.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JoJoPay shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits or revenue
  • Business interruption
  • Unauthorized account access caused by user negligence
  • Delays caused by third-party providers
  • Technical interruptions beyond reasonable control

Users acknowledge that digital financial services involve inherent risks, including cybersecurity threats and connectivity issues.

Regulatory Compliance

JoJoPay operates in cooperation with regulated financial and payment partners. Certain partner services, including ECPay, are regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.

Users agree to comply with all applicable financial regulations, anti-money laundering laws, and government requirements.

Suspension and Termination

JoJoPay may suspend or terminate access to the Platform without prior notice if:

  • These Terms are violated
  • Fraudulent or suspicious activity is detected
  • Required verification is not completed
  • Regulatory compliance requires restriction

Users may discontinue use of the Platform at any time.

Amendments to Terms

JoJoPay reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time.

Updated Terms become effective upon publication on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Philippines.

Any disputes arising from the use of the Platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts of the Philippines.
